Graston Technique

Graston Technique® is a form of instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization that enables clinicians to effectively break down scar tissue and fascial restrictions. The technique utilizes specially designed stainless steel instruments to specifically detect and effectively treat areas showing soft tissue fibrosis, range of motion limitation and/or chronic inflammation.

Graston Technique works for the client by decreasing overall time of treatment, fosters faster rehabilitation and recovery from injuries or surgery, reduces the need for anti- inflammatory medications and helps resolve chronic conditions thought to be permanent. Scar tissue limits range of motion, and in many instances causes pain, which prevents the patient from functioning as he or she did before the injury. The instruments used in Graston Technique help break up the scar tissue creating these limitations.
